Surrounded by untamed wilderness, rivers, and lakes, Timmins offers a bit of something for everyone, from cultural performances to unlimited outdoor adventures.
Located on the Mattagami River in northeastern Ontario, Timmins is known as the “City with a Heart of Gold.” A mining and forestry community with deep roots in European and Indigenous cultures, this small city also boasts a large Francophone community, and more than 50 per cent of residents are bilingual in French and English.
